I’m feeling super down for some reason right now and I can’t really pinpoint what it is. It feels like there’s a dark cloud looming over my head. I tried to make my notes look extra neat, neater than usual, as that usually helps me calm down whenever I do feel like this. However, this time it just numbed me. Then I got super sidetracked from my school work and here I am getting even more sidetracked. Does anyone have tips of this weird heavy and hazy feeling? Please inbox me!

My super messy notes (right) vs the rewritten version (left). During a lecture, neat and legible notes are the last things on my mind. Okay, sometimes I zone out and look down at my paper and think, “Wow, this looks horrible.” The main thing that matters is that I can understand them when I go to rewrite it. Also, note all the whiteout. I’m trying so hard to use whiteout and not to start a new clean sheet of paper every time I make a mistake. I’ve wasted so many trees doing that in the past.

Some pictures of my diy planner, taken with a potato. I borrowed inspiration from diyfish inserts. Whenever I open it up, I can see my whole month and reoccurring tasks right in front of me. Unfolding the pages reveals my week. I’m the type who needs a general outline of my day, hour by hour. I can also see the next month, if I have to.

In bed with Camus. A penpal recommended this book to me and he expects a nice, long essay about it. Okay, I think (and hope) that was a joke but I really want to be able to understand this so we can have a meaningful conversation about it. I’m really trying to work on my highlight-literally-everything habit. Also, doesn’t “humanity’s gradually increasing awareness of itself” sound really ominous when it’s out of context?

I’m taking a “zero day” from studying but that doesn’t mean you have to stop learning! I decided to work on my blog and switch frameworks from Bootstrap to Foundation, mostly because Boostrap has the potential to get really bloated and I find that Foundation is more intuitive and their documentation is great. However, Bootstrap has a larger community behind it.

Anyway, I haven’t worked on my blog for a while but it feels good to be coding with good old HTML and PHP again. I’ve always struggled with learning frameworks because I already have a style that I code with but once I get it, it’s easy to adapt. Also, I’m surprised that I have done 0 CSS coding… This will change.
